CMMC Webinar Series: NIST SP800-171 Revision - Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 1pm ET
The government requires federal contractors to protect controlled unclassified information in accordance with requirements defined in NIST SP 800-171 Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations. Contractually the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) has aligned their cybersecurity practices with Revision 2 to 800-171. On May 10th, the government issued the draft of Revision 3 (R3). R3 is denser than its predecessor and adds three new domains. It is better written, clearer, and often more concise; however, while the number of requirements remained the same, NIST renumbered and stacked multiple items into a single control/security requirement, resulting in what appears to be a net increase for 3rd Party assessments. Join Ryan Heidorn, Chief Technology Officer for C3 Integrated Solutions, Vince Scott, CEO of the Defense Cybersecurity Group and Amira Armond, President Kieri Solutions and Vice Chair, C3PAO Stakeholder Forum for a webinar focused on upcoming changes. The Government will accept comments until July 14th and is expected to issue the finalized standard revision in January 2024.

ETI Tech Thursdays Webinars
Give us an hour of your time and we will help you understand the technologies DoD has identified as being critical to future military operations!
NDIA knows how hard it is for national security professionals to keep up with all of the technical advances happening in universities and research labs. All of us have heard of hypersonics, quantum science, blockchain, but very few of us understand the science behind these technologies or how they could impact our professional lives.
